Why is my Hijri age higher than my Gregorian age?
A Hijri year is about eleven days shorter than a Gregorian year, so the Hijri count runs a little ahead. Over a lifetime the gap adds up: roughly every 33 Gregorian years the Hijri age gains an extra year.
How is the age calculated?
Both the birth date and the target date are converted into the Islamic calendar you choose, and the difference is expressed in Hijri years, months, and days, along with the total number of days between the two dates.
Which calendar should I choose?
Umm al-Qura, the official civil calendar of Saudi Arabia, is the default and covers roughly 1900 to 2076 CE. The tabular calendars use a fixed arithmetic rule, so they work for any date. The calendars can differ from one another by about a day.
When is my Hijri birthday?
The result shows your birth date in the Hijri calendar; your Hijri birthday is that same Hijri month and day each year. Because the Hijri year is shorter, it falls about eleven days earlier on the Gregorian calendar every year.
